Unit 1 - Reflection
Statement of Inquiry:
Creativity is the reflection of the self: through the creative process we learn about ourselves and others.
I agree with statement as the way we write our creative products or the way we do them is different from other people. The different ideas we have can reflect the person we are. Creativity shows us what we are good at or what we need to improve. Through different creative process we have learnt what our fellow students are good at and what they need to improve on.
What are the key elements of structuring a story?
The key elements of a story are the theme of the stories and establishing the characters. Also, there must be the different elements of the Freitag's Pyramid to make the story interesting. For example, rising climax, climax, resolution etc.
Also by adding the different elements of STOPBADFIT the story will be able to build and make the plot more interesting and the theme more prominent.
How does an author make a story transformative?
An author uses STOPBADFIT to add more detail to show how the character has changed. They add hints throughout the story so we know how the person has transformed and how they are still transforming. They change the setting showing the transformation the person has gone through. The use of words they use influence the reader's idea of change.
I am a mainly a taskmaster but also sometimes a stealth ninja. This is because I am organised and like to plan out the different steps in detail so I know I what I have to do and what I've done. However, sometimes I prefer to view other people's work and not give any ideas to my own group. I need to improve on this though, as it is important to try to give any ideas you have to the members of your groups. Overall, I think I'm more of a taskmaster as I like to make a plan so I know what me and my group members need to do.
